Join the lab
We are recruiting at [levels]. The lab is a good fit if you are interested in [the kind of problem you work on] and want to [what people actually get to do here].
No prior experience with [technique] is required — training is part of the job.
Prospective PhD students
Applications go through the [programme name] at [University]; the deadline is [date]. Email before you apply so we can talk about fit — include a paragraph on what you want to work on and why, plus your CV.
Postdoctoral researchers
[Open position / no funded position right now, but happy to support fellowship applications — get in touch at least two months before the deadline.]
Undergraduates
We take [number] students each term for [project type]. Email with your CV, a transcript, and a note on your availability.
Writing to us
Send one email to you@university.edu with the subject line Lab enquiry — [your name]. Tell us what you want to work on rather than what you have done; the CV covers the second part. We reply to everyone, usually within a week.
We particularly encourage applications from people underrepresented in [field]. If a formal requirement is a barrier for you, say so — it is often negotiable.
